Anti-Anorexic Ads: “You Are Not A Sketch”
Star Models released this ad in a fight against anorexia. The models have been ‘retouched’ to make them look like sketches. Appropriately, the tag line states, “Say no to anorexia.”
Do you think these ads will have any affect on people who are suffering from Anorexia?
Kirstie Clements was an editor at Vogue Australia. She has a new book that talks about stories in the industry called, “The Vogue Factor.”
“In her new book, Clements claims models still regularly starve themselves to stay super skinny and some resort to eating tissues to help them feel full.”

Martha Stewart is currently known for many things, modeling is not one of them at the moment. Whoever knew she was a model? Here are some of her older modeling photos.
She used to also be a model for CHANEL as well! She used to get paid on average, $50/hour, and had no problem getting it. At that time, it was quite a bit of money too!

Models aren’t all looks or brains, they have tremendous guts too. Ocean Ramsey lives in Hawaii and swims with great white sharks to bring awareness that they aren’t killing machines.
If you ask me, she’s a little too close for comfort. She definitely seems to understand them more than we do.
Twitter Meets Runway Fashion - Target Genius
Twitter users wrote what they wanted about Target’s ‘Everyday Collection’. After which, they put on a runway show with these tweets incorporated. The results are quite hilarious!
On January 24th, The Everyday Collection went live with the first ever Tweet-to-Runway show - a runway spectacular inspired by everyday tweets. Thousands participated, hundreds were chosen to have their tweets performed on the catwalk and featured with products from The Everyday Collection by Target.

Did you know that humans are 80% genetically identical to cows? Well, allow me to prove it to you…
Guess who?! Yes, it’s the lovely Kate Upton, confidently lumbering up a runway like there’s a buffet at the end of it. Now, there’s nothing wrong with an average girl like Kate being confident. She’s pretty, she bangs down the runway like she owns it, and I totally commend her for her bravery.
And I still ask: what the heck? Has fashion become this? Well – we know it hasn’t, so let’s not pretend this is fashion. She looks thick, vulgar, almost pornographic – and she is a solid 30 lbs too heavy for this outfit.
Huge thighs, NO waist, big fat floppy boobs, terrible body definition – she looks like a squishy brick. Is this what American women are “striving” for now? The lazy, lardy look? Have we really gotten so fat in this country that Kate is the best we can aim for? Sorry, but: eww!
The sudden surge in fame for Kate Upton makes me wonder how much further our plus-sized fixation is going to go. It’s not that the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue was ever high art, but thanks to Kate Upton securing this year’s cover, it’s now barely a notch above Playboy.
