The New Google Drive: The Dropbox Alternative
Google is slowly taking over my life, first it started with their search, which is the best in the world (sorry Yahoo!), next my e-mail went directly with gmail, then google calendar started to organize my schedule. I then started implementing google docs to send and share online notes and details. Finally with Android, everything syncs together right on my Phone. Now Google is stepping in the file sharing arena, competing with companies like Dropbox.
It’s 5 gigs of free storage to start off with. If you’re familiar with google docs, your docs tab will change to ‘drive’ where you can now upload anything you want and share as you please. Now if only it had a public uploader so people can send files to me like yousendit allows, then I would switch over for sure.
